Growing Up

We’ve grown up all to fast
Everything so different now
Than back in the good ole days

I miss all the old past memories
Back when we were children running free
Without a care in our little hearts

We’d stay up late and talk and laugh
Sharing all our simple secrets
In the early morning light we’d finally drift to sleep

High school heartaches our biggest problem
Slowly nearing our goodbyes
How about we go back and never grow up

We were never going to change
We were always going to be that way
Immature and irresponsible

Late night walks down our hometown streets
We were always the best of friends.

Now we barely talk
Hardly ever see your face
I sure miss the good ole days

All things have to change I guess
Eventually we do all grow up.
